Terms of use & safety
tofrom is a board that introduces travellers to people who need something carried. Read this before you arrange a handoff with anyone.
What the platform does
tofrom only introduces two people to each other. We don't take part in your conversation, don't inspect what's inside any package, don't arrange the meeting, and don't guarantee that either side follows through.
No money or goods pass through the platform
tofrom never accepts payment for carrying anything, and never holds or forwards items itself. Any payment and the handoff itself happen directly between you and the other user — the platform is not part of it.
You carry the risk and the responsibility
If you carry or hand off an item through tofrom, you do it at your own risk. You are responsible for what you carry across a border — including the customs rules, prohibitions, and duties of the country you're leaving, passing through, and arriving in.
Never carry a package you haven't seen inside
Never agree to carry a sealed package whose contents you haven't seen with your own eyes. Ask for it to be opened when you meet, before you take it.
What's in your bag is on you
You are legally responsible for what's in your bag at the border, regardless of who asked you to carry it or what you were told it contained.
This is not legal advice
This text describes how the platform works and is not legal advice. If you're unsure, consult a lawyer or check the customs rules of the countries you're departing from, transiting through, and arriving in.
